June 21 2021 The Tucson Saguaros defeated the Alpine Cowboys 9-3 after scoring four runs in the fourth inning two in the sixth and three in the seventh. Alpine scored once in the fourth and twice in the eighth. Tucson outhit Alpine 9-3 in the victory.
Danny Kerr led Tucson with two hits including a home run two runs and two RBI.
Rod Dobbs added two hits and scored three runs while
Kokko Figueiredo reached base four times with one hit two runs and three walks.
Leo Gallegos and
Tyler Baumann each drove in two runs and
Duncan Snider also contributed two RBI.
Snider earned the win by allowing one run on one hit in seven innings. He walked three and struck out nine.
Pete Violante and
Matt Fountain each worked a scoreless inning in relief. Alpine starter
Jared Strait took the loss after allowing four runs on four hits in five innings with five walks and four strikeouts.
Tylor Frailey drove in two of Alpine’s three runs and
James Prockish added one RBI. Alpine finished with one error while Tucson committed three.
