June 25 2021 The Santa Fe Fuego defeated the Alpine Cowboys 4-2 at Kokernot Field. Santa Fe scored three runs in the fifth inning and added another in the seventh to overcome Alpine’s early 2-0 lead. The Cowboys scored once in the second and again in the fourth, but were held scoreless over the final five innings.
Santa Fe collected 12 hits, with
Ben Tingen Ryan Bernardy Jesus Chavez and B. Ryan recording two hits apiece.
Parker DePasquale drove in a run and scored once while Bernardy and
Philip Buckingham also contributed RBIs. DePasquale and Bernardy each had a double and Tingen added a double and scored a run.
Kelvan Pilot earned the win after allowing six hits and two earned runs over 7.2 innings. He walked two and struck out 10 in 142 pitches.
August Voight completed the victory with 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing no hits while striking out two, to earn the save.
Jake Voss took the loss for Alpine after giving up three runs on eight hits in six innings.
