Austin Weirdos Cruise Past Alpine Cowboys 12-5

June 18 2022 The Austin Weirdos defeated the Alpine Cowboys 12-5 behind a 13-hit offensive attack at Parque Zaragoza. Austin took an early lead with one run in the second inning before breaking the game open with three runs in the fourth six in the fifth and two in the sixth. Alpine scored once in the third three times in the seventh and once in the ninth. Aramis Cruz powered the Weirdos with two home runs two hits two runs and six RBI. Christian Jones went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI while Gabriel Murillo added three hits. Austin also received two hits and two runs from Bracey and two hits from Sadler R. Jose Diaz earned the win for Austin after allowing one run on four hits in six innings. He struck out eight and walked three. Austin Requena followed with two innings and four strikeouts while Anthony Lee worked the ninth. Manny Garcia led Alpine with two hits and two RBI, and James Prockish collected two hits. Ridge Walker took the loss after surrendering 10 runs on 10 hits in five innings, with five strikeouts and three walks. The Cowboys finished with six hits while Austin committed two errors.
