Both the Alpine Cowboys (27-11) and the White Sands Pupfish (13-21) put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was the Alpine Cowboys that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-2 win at Kokernot Field.

Brian Milliman reached base two times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

Yermin Mercedes was hot from the plate for the White Sands Pupfish. Mercedes went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Scotty Hong got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Mike Ormseth (2-4) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
