Alpine Cowboys Rout Trinidad Triggers 23-8

June 30 2023 The Alpine Cowboys defeated the Trinidad Triggers 23-8 in a seven-inning game at Kokernot Field. Alpine collected 19 hits and committed no errors while Trinidad finished with 13 hits and eight errors.

Alpine broke the game open with 14 runs in the first inning and added three runs in each of the third fourth and fifth innings. Trinidad scored three times in the first before adding two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth but could not overcome the early deficit.

Manny Garcia went 3-for-4 with five runs scored and two RBI for Alpine. Josh Rego added three hits three runs and three RBI while Drake Angeron had three hits two runs and two RBI. Cade Biddle scored twice and drove in four runs with two hits and three walks. Jake Sisto contributed three hits two runs and two RBI and hit a home run.

Danny Sullivan earned the win after allowing nine hits and five runs over five innings with two walks and two strikeouts. Michael Castillo worked one inning and allowed four hits and three runs while C. Wleczyk finished with a scoreless inning. Trinidad starter Kenny Stewart took the loss after surrendering 11 hits and 14 runs in one inning.
