Alpine Cowboys Defeat Roswell Invaders 6-3

July 4 2023 The Alpine Cowboys defeated the Roswell Invaders 6-3 at Kokernot Field. Alpine scored in the first inning, added three runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth to build a 6-0 lead before Roswell rallied for one run in the sixth and two in the seventh. Alpine finished with nine hits and no errors while Roswell had seven hits and two errors.

Cade Biddle went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases for Alpine. Drake Angeron also collected two hits, scored once and drove in a run, while James Prockish, Mark Traylor and Aldo Buendia each added an RBI. Alpine’s extra-base hits included doubles by Biddle, Traylor, Buendia and Jeff Disla.

Cameron Mulvihill earned the win after allowing three runs on seven hits in 6.1 innings with one walk and three strikeouts. Connor Kelly recorded the save by retiring both batters he faced in two-thirds of an inning. Roswell starter Anthony Moore took the loss after giving up six runs, five earned, on nine hits in five innings with three strikeouts.
