June 20 2025 The Alpine Cowboys defeated the Santa Fe Fuego 10-7 behind a 15-hit offensive attack. Alpine overcame a 3-0 deficit after the first inning by scoring two runs in the second and third innings, then added single runs in the fourth and fifth before breaking the game open with four runs in the sixth. Santa Fe scored once in the seventh and three times in the eighth but could not complete the comeback.
Josh Rego led Alpine with three hits, two runs and three RBI, including a home run. Tyler Young, Trevor Tripoli and Sean Becker each added two hits, while James Prockish scored three runs and Jake Sisto and Becker drove in multiple runs. Alpine also received two hits and an RBI from winning pitcher Humberto Vela.
Santa Fe collected 13 hits, with Joey Grabanski going 3-for-4 and Jesus Chavez and Raul Guillermo each recording two hits and three RBI. Chavez, Guillermo and Willian Suarez each hit a home run for the Fuego, who also received two hits and an RBI from Suarez.
Vela earned the win after allowing 12 hits and seven runs, six earned, over eight innings with three walks and five strikeouts. Ronin Tachibana recorded the save with one hit allowed and three strikeouts in a scoreless ninth. Nicholas Trujillo took the loss for Santa Fe after giving up 13 hits and six runs, five earned, in five innings.
