The bats were busy at Fort Marcy Park on Thursday, and when the dust cleared the Alpine Cowboys (14-12) had a 14-10 win over the Santa Fe Fuego (5-25).
The two teams combined for 22 hits in the game.
The Alpine Cowboys got their bats going early, scoring five runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Santa Fe Fuego. The Alpine Cowboys scored in the first on an error, an RBI single by Daniel Aldrich, and a three-run home run by Nate Ferrell.
Aldrich racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Alpine Cowboys.
Frank Fantino recorded his first win of the year for the Alpine Cowboys. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered three hits.
Ryan Harper (2-5) was the games losing pitcher. He allowed 12 runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out five.
