August 14 2011 The Roswell Invaders defeated the Alpine Cowboys 11-9 in 11 innings. Roswell collected 10 hits and 11 walks while Alpine finished with 18 hits. Both teams committed two errors.
Roswell opened the scoring with one run in the first inning and broke the game open with a six-run fourth. Alpine answered with two runs in the fourth and a six-run seventh to take a 9-7 lead. The Invaders tied the game with two runs in the eighth before scoring twice in the 11th to secure the victory.
Brian Ramirez led Roswell with three hits, two runs and two RBI, including a home run. Josh Cakebread added two RBI and a double, while Justin Uribe drove in two runs and Clifton Thomas had one hit and one RBI. For Alpine, Nick Ochoa went 3-for-5 with two runs, three RBI and a home run. Javier Arrieta added three hits and two runs, while David Valesente collected two RBI.
Josh Grady earned the win for Roswell after allowing two hits and no runs with one strikeout in 1.2 innings. Bryant Asnicar took the loss for Alpine, giving up two runs on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts in two innings. Roswell starter Reed Brown struck out eight while allowing 13 hits and eight runs in 6.2 innings.
