Joel Carranza clubbed two home runs, but it wasnt enough to carry the Alpine Cowboys (21-18) to a win on Sunday, as the Alpine Cowboys fell to the Trinidad Triggers (23-14) 15-14 at Central Park.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 29 runs and 32 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with 10 pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

Frank Florio led the Trinidad Triggers offensive threat, as he got on base five times in the game. He scored three runs and had two RBIs. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Zach Leitten got the win, running his season record to 1-3. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Scott Hartling ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
