Trinidad Triggers Pull Away From Alpine Cowboys 6-2

June 2 2018 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the Alpine Cowboys 6-2 at Kokernot Field behind a 12-hit attack. Trinidad overcame an early 1-0 deficit by scoring once in the second inning and twice in the third before adding two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh. Alpine scored its other run in the sixth inning.

Charles Osborne led Trinidad with three hits and scored three runs, while Tim Henry added two hits. Justin Busekrus went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, and Kenneth Fudge had a double and two RBIs. Matt Eureste also drove in a run for the Triggers.

Matt Stuart earned the win after allowing seven hits and two runs, two earned, in six innings. He walked none and struck out five. Kane Klais completed the victory with a scoreless seventh inning and two strikeouts. Alpine starter Matt Terrones took the loss after giving up 10 hits and five runs, four earned, in six innings with two walks and four strikeouts.
