July 12 2019 The Alpine Cowboys scored four runs in the eighth inning and went on to defeat the Roswell Invaders 10-3. Alpine collected 10 hits and led 5-0 through seven innings before Roswell scored once in the eighth and twice in the ninth. The Cowboys added a run in the ninth to complete the victory.
Ellington Hopkins led Alpine with three hits three runs and an RBI. Rodney Tennie added two hits two walks three runs and an RBI while Lance Myers went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Alpine finished with seven total RBIs and also received two hits and an RBI from both Myers and Tennie across their offensive production. Peter Bocchino hit a home run for Roswell and drove in a run while Nolan Hoff and A. Stubblefield each collected two hits.
Jose Hernandez earned the win for Alpine after allowing three hits and no runs in six innings. He walked three and struck out eight. Jake Woods worked two innings and allowed one run while striking out three. Alex Werbach took the loss for Roswell after giving up five runs three earned on four hits in six innings. He walked four and struck out five.
