Roche Woodard led Roswell with two hits, three runs and two RBI, including his 11th home run of the season. J. Kaohu Gaspar led Roswell’s offensive attack by going 5-for-6 with three runs, seven RBI and a home run. White Sands erupted for five runs in the first inning, four in the second and three in the third. Aaron Olivas led the Pupfish with a 5-for-6 performance that included three runs and a home run. Alpine broke open a close game with five runs in the third inning after the teams traded two-run rallies in the first and Santa Fe added two runs in the second. Ariel Adut led Alpine with three hits, three runs and two RBI, while Seth McLemore went 2-for-5 with four RBI and a home run. McLemore and Adut each hit a home run for the Cowboys. Clayton Truex added two hits and two runs, and Reagan Rutledge reached base three times with a hit and two walks.

White Sands scored once in each of the first two innings before Alpine broke open the game in the fourth. May 23 2016 The Alpine Cowboys defeated the Salina Stockade 12-2 at Kokernot Field behind a 16-hit attack and a complete-game effort from Kevin Klaess. Salina finished with four hits and committed four errors, while Alpine played errorless baseball.

Alpine broke through with three runs in the third inning, added two in the fifth and one in the sixth before putting the game out of reach with four runs in the seventh and two in the eighth. Salina scored both of its runs in the seventh inning. The Cowboys also benefited from home runs by Eric Ferguson and Salina’s Ray Hernandez.

Ferguson went 2-for-4 with a home run two runs and three RBI. Yuta Okazaki collected three hits including a double and drove in two runs, while Ariel Adut went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
